How it works
It should never feel rushed, and it should never feel like a production.
Here is exactly what happens, from the first conversation to the day your family presses play.
01
A first conversation
Twenty minutes to hear who they are, why now, and what you never want to forget.
02
Planning the story
Together we map their life: where it started, what shaped them, who mattered most, and what they hope remains.
03
Preparing your loved one
A simple guide so they know what to expect. The goal is not perfect answers. It is real memories.
04
The filming day
A slow, patient conversation in their home, among the photos and objects that hold their story.
05
Shaping the film
We turn hours of conversation into a short film. You will hear from us halfway through.
06
Yours, forever
We send you a digital file to keep and share with your family for generations.

Questions families ask
What if they are nervous on camera?
Almost everyone is at first. It is a conversation, not an interview. By the second story most people forget the camera is there.
Can this be a gift?
Yes. Tell us the date that matters on the form, a birthday, an anniversary, and we will plan around it.
Who should be there on filming day?
Whoever makes them feel most at home. We will plan that together.
What should we gather beforehand?
Old photos, home movies, letters, anything with a story behind it. Printed is fine. We handle the rest.
How long are the films?
Depending on your package booked, they run six to twenty minutes. Long enough to know someone, short enough that the grandkids will watch it.
Where are you based?
Charleston, South Carolina. We travel to you. Travel expenses are booked separately based on shoot locations.
How do we get started?
Just fill out a contact form and we’ll set up a call to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have!
